Now some people may say 'Rules were meant to be broken.', but I prefer the saying 'What goes around, comes around.' In other words, break my rules and there will be consequences. Capiche?
Now on to the rules...
Now on to the rules...
Out-Of-Character Rules
1. Use correct spelling and grammar. Grammar we might not get people on as bad, but people there is a spell check for a reason. Please use it. No riting lik dis (No writing like this). Or THIS. Or tHiS. Write like you would write a paper. No chat speak! It's not hard to spell out 'you' or 'what's up'. Just use correct spelling people!
2. Do not role-play until accepted. It's not that hard to wait about a day to get accepted and most of the time, less than that. If your bored and not accepted then play a game or something like that. But do not be caught role-playing without being accepted.
3. No -ist language. Racist, sexist, etc. Would you like someone to be rude like that to you in real life? No. So don't do it on here.
4. Don't fight with the other members. Opinions are a GOOD thing so don't fight about something on the site. Sure, it's fine to have the average discussion, but fighting is definitely not necessary.
5. Try to keep your cursing out of character to a minimum. You shouldn't even have to cuss out of character so |put: holiday| this is actually me being rather nice. Just try not to do it twenty-four seven, okay? Okay.
In-Character Rules
1. No Mary-Sue characters. Perfection will not be tolerated here. A Mary-Sue character is a character that can be considered perfect or without flaws. That means that he or she gets good grades, is loved by all, and has no enemies or personality flaws. Since it is impossible in real life to be 'perfect' it isn't happening here on this board. Also, relationships are NOT perfect so don't make them seem that way.
2. You must have a first AND last name. No jpol1898 or anything like that in your display name.
3. Please do not god mod under any circumstances. Do not take over someone else's character if they didn't allow you too.
4. Death. You can only kill someone if that character's player has given you explicit permission that you are allowed to. Even then you must contact an admin of the situation so they can verify with the other character.
5. When RPing don't put stars for actions and don't do this:
*I walked into the room it was dim and gloomy. I never really liked dark rooms and my mom always told me not to be afraid but I was. Looking at myself in the mirror I realized that I was stupid for typing like this....*
We all want everyone to post in third person not first. Its confusing when people post in first person to begin with. So just don't.
Example of how you should RP:
Riley walked into the room it was dim and gloomy, She never really liked dark rooms but she had gotten used to it. She pulled her cloak around her and began to walk down the dark gloomy hall of the castle.
6. It is not mandatory, but we do ask that you put a little effort in your posts. One or two paragraphs and the minimum, no one liners. It's not that hard to type out six sentences or more really. Just try.
Lastly, We hope you enjoy the time you spend with us and have fun.
If you don't follow these rules you CAN and WILL be banned from this site.
